Victoria Doramus: Making A Difference Through Active Philanthropy


With years of productive experience as a digital and print media specialist, Victoria Doramus has developed a diverse resume that includes a wide range of high-level professional ventures. But career excellence in the media industry is not her only area of focus. She is also an active philanthropist, volunteering her time and resources to improve the lives of others.

According to Medium, the journey for Victoria Doramus into the world of digital and print media began at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication in 2006. Since college graduation, she has successfully gained extensive experience as a media planner, creative consultant, operations director, writer, and research assistant through a variety of professional pursuits within the media, communication, and advertising industry. Over time, she has worked closely with several popular companies and media outlets, including The Huffington Post, Mindshare, Stila Cosmetics, and as director of west coast operations for Trendera. Most recently, she worked as the personal assistant to noted filmmaker Peter Berg.

Currently, Victoria Doramus is focusing the majority of her attention toward charity work through extensive volunteerism and philanthropy. She is currently a self-employed director of her own philanthropic organization, and is involved in assisting several charitable organizations, including: Room To Read, The Amy Winehouse Foundation, The Women’s Prison Association, and Best Friends Animal Society.

Through her community involvement and philanthropic work with several different charities, Victoria Doramus is providing help and support in several areas of society. The Amy Winehouse Foundation reaches out to at-risk adolescents to help prevent and alleviate drug and alcohol addiction among youth culture, while Room To Read focuses on improving literacy in impoverished communities and among low-income families. The Women’s Prison Association provides training and support to women who are incarcerated, helping them to successfully re-enter society and become functional members of their communities. The Best Friends Animal Society works to find homes for animals in danger of being put to death in shelters.
